RELX: Data rich

RELX's data has made it a very profitable company. Its Risk division is its best business but looks like the only one capable of decent long-term growth.

As a theme, I think data is one with very attractive long-term potential. The combination of huge amounts of proprietary data combined with an ability to analyse it and turn it into something useful can create substantial amounts of value for investors.

The long-term market for pest control services remains favourable. Rentokil is well placed to profit from it.

Unilever is raising prices to offset cost pressures. Sales from new products suggests that the company is heading in the right direction.

Unilever is a very good business and ticks many boxes as far as a quality share is concerned. I can see why fund managers such as Nick Train and Terry Smith like it.
